She is doing it! Walking like she has been doing it for years.
A year ago she wasn’t even here yet, and now look at her. Taking over the house.
She is truly a blessing, my little Charlotte.

I am often asked if I went to school for photography. The answer is no. I am then asked how in the world did I ever learn?
Lots of time reading, playing, experimenting with my camera and editing software. Google became my best friend on answering questions for me.
Then I was asked to join Clickin’ Moms about 2 years ago. This is community of women (and men!!) who share the same love for photography and creating beautiful portraits. Not every one is a professional, some just want to learn how to use their camera a little better to take pictures of their own children.
There is a wide range of talent, style, ages, even different parts of the world. There is something for every one!
This is such a helpful group of women, and I have learned so much. I never realized that as a photographer, it is so so so so important to network with other photographers. Not just for your own personal gain, but for the friendships that blossom from one similar interest.
So there you have it, my spiel on one of my favorite website/forums.
Sign up today, and use the code FRIEND for 10% off your membership!! Click on the image below to take you there.

and because no blog is complete with out a picture, here are my little love bugs. Well, two of the three.
They are truly BEST friends.
One of my 2010 resolutions was to make more personal blog entries. I am not doing such a fabulous job!!
Yesterday, I took some pictures of my nearly 11 month old daughter (where did the time go?!) for an article about one year portraits and cake smash sessions for TAoPaN mag . I know she isn’t one yet, but I had some new ideas that I hadn’t got a chance to try out in my last cake smash session.

the winner is…..
#3 !!!

and the random drawing was Christen, cljhoops@—-.com
You have until midnight tonight to contact me about your session, or I will re-draw a number from random.org.
Thanks to every one for playing, it was such a close race!!
I am also looking for newborns right now and the session is on me. I am only taking a few, so don’t miss out on your chance to have once in a life time pictures of your newborn.
I know I have said it before, but nothing warms my heart more than doing Operation:Love reunited sessions.
Maybe it is because I know the heart ache of being away from the one person that knows everything about you.
Maybe it is because I know what a service these men and women do for our country.
Maybe it is because I see the dedication, first hand. And I know how important it is.
I know what it is like to be a military wife, and while the road is often hard, there is no other road I would rather be on.
I am proud to be apart of these special moments!
This adorable (yes, I mean it A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E) couple is getting married in Hawaii, and I am jealous!

It’s hard to believe that its been 9 months already. Little C is the best baby. She loves to cuddle. She loves to head butt (yes. head butt!)
She just plain loves every one.

I had the honor of being chosen to participate in a great contest held by an amazing clothing company called Matilda Jane. Their unique clothing and bright designs are always so fun!
If you have a moment, please check out the contest and vote for me (and any of the other fabulous entries!) by clicking on Adelai, and adding her to you cart. All you need to do is check out and you’re done! You can vote for as many photographers as you like, but you can only vote once.
It was an honor just be be picked out of hundreds of children photographers who entered this contest.

And the best news of all? Addie actually had fun doing this! We had some very much needed mommy+Addie time. We even got ice cream.

I love fall. The pumpkins, the leaves, the apples the hot drinks… love it!
The kids love it too, to prove it, look at 2 of the 3 of my little cuties.

On a different note, I teamed up with a local KC blogger to do a giveaway. Visit her site, KC Penny Pinchin’ Mama to find out more.
