She is doing it! Walking like she has been doing it for years.
A year ago she wasn’t even here yet, and now look at her. Taking over the house.
She is truly a blessing, my little Charlotte.

I am not ready for it. Nope.
I want her to be my baby forever. And let’s be honest at 5, 15 or 50 they are always your baby.
I am not ready for the cuddly infant phase to be over. It always passes too quickly and you end up wondering where exactly all those sleepless nights when they were a newborn went.
She is 2 weeks away from being one year old, and today she took nine steps. She also had her first set of piggy tails.

The first year is so bittersweet. You never want it to end, but you also can’t wait to see what happens in their future.
One of my 2010 resolutions was to make more personal blog entries. I am not doing such a fabulous job!!
Yesterday, I took some pictures of my nearly 11 month old daughter (where did the time go?!) for an article about one year portraits and cake smash sessions for TAoPaN mag . I know she isn’t one yet, but I had some new ideas that I hadn’t got a chance to try out in my last cake smash session.

I traveled out to Belton, Missouri to met 8 day old baby S. So sleepy and sweet, he love to have his little picture taken.

It’s hard to believe that its been 9 months already. Little C is the best baby. She loves to cuddle. She loves to head butt (yes. head butt!)
She just plain loves every one.

Today the light was just gorgeous. Not to mention the perfect weather, aren’t we in the winter months? No complaining here, I hope it stays in the 60’s for the rest of the season!
Here are a few of my favorite from today.

I got to spend some of a morning with the H family. Little T is just the most adorable thing!
He got a very much deserved treat at the end of the session from yours truly.
Here are a few from our time together, I hope you like them!

Just wanted to re-visit the mini-sessions for the Christmas season! Spaces are filling up for October and I am almost completely booked. If you want to get the beautiful fall foliage in your shots, its fading fast! Next weekend is the peak of the fall colors.

Especially for the K children. They met me today and it was all smiles through the bitter cold. We didn’t last longer than 45 minutes, that is for sure!
It’s always a pleasure taking pictures of these kids, this is such a fun family!

This has been a good week for me. First I was nominated in the top 5 (4th place!) Kansas City portrait photographers, and today I was one of the 45 photographers selected from hundreds to participate in a Matilda Jane contest. So be on the look out for some super cute clothing modeling from my little Addie soon!
We love MJ check it out at www.matildajaneclothing.com
These two little girls were so sweet! I had a great time getting to know and photograph your family. Thanks for sharing some of your morning with me!
