By now you have probably read this post on my blog. If not, clicky on over there, man.
The other day I kinda thought it would be fun to have a contest. Then, I was cleaning out a junk drawer and found a $25 gift card to Canvas On Demand. Now, I have been needing to order new canvas of my little chickens, but I just haven’t had the time to find the perfect picture. And, I am in a rut.
SO.
I give you, a contest. Go out and shoot. Shoot until your brain hurts. Edit a little different, try new things!
Do something you have never done before. Try the golden hour, shooting in full sun or shooting at 7am!
Whatever your little heart desires. Just break out. Break out of your normal every day stuff.

Email me your pictures by 10pm EST tomorrow, June 12. rachael@goodytwoshoesphotography.com. I am not giving you a topic, because, well, I couldn’t think of one. I am just looking for something that pushes the limit. Something that is different from what you normally do, but still has YOU in it. I will be looking at your blog and or website.
I will pick the top 5-10 pictures that I love, then I will have a public voting in comment form on my blog.
Easy and fun!
Try and shoot something that you would use that $25 gift card to Canvas on Demand for.
ANY one can enter. :) Have fun and don’t hurt yourself.

Oh, and here is a picture because I can’t stand to blog with out one. I give you, my two youngest brothers.

goin’ green

February 24, 2010

As a lot of my clients and friends are aware, I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Not only in my business, but in my personal life as well.
Recycling, going to the thrift store, using cloth diapers, cleaning with vinegar instead of harsh chemicals and cleaning with towels instead of paper towels are just a few of the things we routinely do.
So, when I heard about Baby Momento , I thought it was a genius idea.
Everyone always forgets to send out holiday cards. I even have other photographers tell me they had them made for months and still forgot to send them out. This way you just fill out an email to everyone in your address book and it’s done.
I can’t tell you how many people purchase digital packages these days, so a website with digital and animated announcements is perfect!! Not to mention the site owner is sweet as pie and her cards are cute as can be. Hop on over there and check out some adorable designs.

No blog is complete without some pictures. Today was pensive look day, I guess. No one wanted to smile for me.

Birthday party fun!!

October 27, 2009

As a mother I know how frantic birthday parties can be, especially when you have that under 5 years old crowd! As a photographer, I know that I want to get memorable shots, but trying to be the birthday hostess and the photographer can be tough.
I have these two packages that might cure your party blues.
Each package includes a mini session for the birthday boy or girl. This will be a 15-30 minute shoot of just them, doing things they love! Let them give you ideas for location, props, clothing etc. This session will provide the image for their custom birthday invites. This price also includes my time on the day of the party.

basic package- $275 includes the shoot, the 24 birthday cards, me on the day of the shoot and a mini 4×6 album of all pictures taken.
glamour package- $400 includes all of the above and a small studio set up in the party location, pictures of all the kids and individual pictures in 4×6 size of each party goer will be give as a gift to them.

Contact me and we can talk about which package is right for you and your child’s special day!
