The age old question that most people as is what should they wear to their family session. I have done a post like this before, but I thought I should briefly revisit it.
Brown and black are super popular right now, so most of my choices are those colors. But don’t be afraid to put some bright colors into the mix. Blue heels or a bright red scarf! Get interesting!
All of these items are all from Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy. If a specific item catches your eye, ask me about it and I will let you know where I found it.
I didn’t add any in these pictures, but Target has some SUPER cute dresses for toddler girls right now for $10. I snagged both my girls some, even though my oldest has been out of 5T for awhile. The dresses were longer and can work for older girls.
These are ideal for family sessions. Baby sessions I can blog about later. I love bright colors for babies.
If you ever have any questions about what to wear, don’t hesitate to ask. I am a recovering shopping addict! Ah, semi-recovering, haha.

I had to take a bit of a break, reschedule some things and take a few days. My beloved Grandfather passed away and he will be very much missed. Thank you for the sweet emails I have been receiving in my families time of mourning for a truly great man.

If you have not already, PLEASE vote for me for the Kansas City A*list. Tomorrow is the last day.

I met up with a friend from high school, and her sweet baby Lucia. Here are a few sneak peeks for you guys.

Best laid plans. I thought a pumpkin would be adorable. She was way too interested in the stem to bother looking at me, or even her Mama!
Thanks Angela, Lucia and Mary-Kate for helping carry around my stuff. It takes a village, people.

File this one under personal, its my sweet baby Charlotte gracing your screen again.
I found this romper today doing something I love to do, thrifting! It’s a weakness. The two youngest and I hit the stores today while the oldest was in school.
I saw it and visions of frilly socks, vintage toys, patent leather shoes, and of course, the rachael trade mark bow, filled my head.
She tested me. She teased me. She tried to eat and lick the ground more times than I would have preferred.
She is a ham and I love it.
However, I would love better pictures in this romper! Its not happening with ms. squirmy pants. She is almost too big for it.
So, you have a 6 month old sized baby girl? Think this romper is to die for and you just NEED, and man I mean NEED pictures in it?
Great. First one to contact me gets a session on me, vintage baby style, yo.

PS don’t forget to vote for me : ) kansas city a*list is a great resource, check it out.

Two things here:
One, Charlotte is 6 months! I can’t believe how the time has flown by. She is a mover and a shaker and I know she is just dying to get up and go with her brother and sister.

Second, my friend Allison has the cutest blog, and for her 2 year anniversary she is doing giveaways! There are some SERIOUSLY cute things, all from etsy. If you know me, you know my ridiculously obsession with etsy.
Any way, I was honored to be apart of her week of giveaways, and I am offering a free shoot +25 photocards. This expires in Dec. so you would need to book ASAP!

I have been wanting to do a ‘body parts’ shoot with my youngest for awhile. Now she is way past the newborn stage, and my own crazy life got in the way of getting any decent newborn pictures of her.
But I had a few moments today to take these. As a mother, these are so touching. I want to offer this simple shoot to other mothers, please contact me today about booking a sleeping babe shoot! These will be priced differently, as I keep this as fresh and natural as possible. The shoot will be quick, and the processing very very light.

And if a big sister wants to join in on the fun, thats ok too!

I found a new spot to use for shoots, so I had to pack up my kids, and my best friends kids for a quick (and I mean quick, it was SO hot!) shoot.

I may be biased, but I think they are all little models!
Speaking of models, I am doing a model call.
In hopes of getting some different pictures for my website, I am hosting a modeling call. The shoot is completely free, and I will give you 2-3 web sized pictures for your facebook or myspace purposing. They will have my logo on the picture. Want to purchase some prints? No problem! Enjoy 15% off my print pricing and no minimum order required. These will be 30-45 minute mini shoots. Offer is only good until the end of August, so email or call now!
** As of July, we are all booked up on the model call, thanks!

This weekend I took my cousin to Weston, Missouri where our Grandfather lives. If you have never been there, GO, its so pretty out there.
Any how, both of our children were in tow (FIVE!) and it proved to be very interesting.
Here is a sneak peak, and one of Tommy. Who, funny enough kept getting in my way wanting his picture taken… Hmmm, why can’t he act like that at home?!
