Just one today of my littlest love.

She was unimpressed. I think she knows they are weeds and not flowers.

Maegan!! You are the winner of the mini session!
Maegan is also the mommy of these two cutest blogged about here.
Maegan, shoot me an email and we will set up your mini session time!
Thanks to everyone that entered.
And because a blog is not complete with out a pic, here is one of my son and his daddy.

This past month my youngest has started giving neck hugs, and they are quite possibly the best thing ever.
They are a remedy when I am worrying about how I will deal with a full year with out my husband, and my children without their father.
They are a remedy when I am feeling overwhelmed and question if keeping my business is the right thing to do in the coming months.
They are a remedy for just about anything.
Yesterday, before I took these pictures, I was changing her into this onesie because all her pj’s were dirty.
I picked her up and she did the ol’ neck hug and I started (badly) singing to her. She pressed her head up against mine closer, closer, closer and just hummed and tried to sing too.
The sun was setting and and I could see the purple flowers on the tree outside.
They don’t stay like this. Why can’t they just stay sweet and simple?
I wanted to keep myself there forever.

I never know what is the right size pictures for my blog. Too big? Sigh.
** ALSO, don’t forget that I donated a portrait package and a wedding package ($2000!! value) to St. Therese’s auction that is this Saturday. They are both in the silent auction and I believe that starts at 6pm. I won’t be there until 7ish, but if you see me, say hey!
It’s true what they say about photographers children. They hate having their picture taken.
Of course, the day I wanted to do my own baby girls cake smash, she didn’t want to play.
These my friends, are the best of the worst. Enjoy

How fast the years go by, when you have sweet little ones to care for.
I love you, Charlotte!!
Spring mini-sessions are coming up, and here are some ideas on what to wear!
This is an idea of casual outfits, stay tuned for more ideas tomorrow!
All outfits are from Gap, Baby Gap and Gap Kids.

There really is so much to say about having a family choose you to photograph some of the most personal moments in their life.
I will just let the pictures do the talking for this one. I am so lucky to be a newborn photographer though, I will say that.

precious.

She is doing it! Walking like she has been doing it for years.
A year ago she wasn’t even here yet, and now look at her. Taking over the house.
She is truly a blessing, my little Charlotte.

I am not ready for it. Nope.
I want her to be my baby forever. And let’s be honest at 5, 15 or 50 they are always your baby.
I am not ready for the cuddly infant phase to be over. It always passes too quickly and you end up wondering where exactly all those sleepless nights when they were a newborn went.
She is 2 weeks away from being one year old, and today she took nine steps. She also had her first set of piggy tails.

The first year is so bittersweet. You never want it to end, but you also can’t wait to see what happens in their future.
As a lot of my clients and friends are aware, I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Not only in my business, but in my personal life as well.
Recycling, going to the thrift store, using cloth diapers, cleaning with vinegar instead of harsh chemicals and cleaning with towels instead of paper towels are just a few of the things we routinely do.
So, when I heard about Baby Momento , I thought it was a genius idea.
Everyone always forgets to send out holiday cards. I even have other photographers tell me they had them made for months and still forgot to send them out. This way you just fill out an email to everyone in your address book and it’s done.
I can’t tell you how many people purchase digital packages these days, so a website with digital and animated announcements is perfect!! Not to mention the site owner is sweet as pie and her cards are cute as can be. Hop on over there and check out some adorable designs.
No blog is complete without some pictures. Today was pensive look day, I guess. No one wanted to smile for me.

I love black and whites. They are so timeless and have a simple beauty. Another one of my 2010 photography resolutions is to use, enjoy and blog more black and white images!
What other way to start off this new tradition, than when a brand new baby.
